Maggie Li, Paralegal, foreign qualified lawyer
Maggie Li is a paralegal with more than 20 years of legal experience in China. She began practising law in China in 2003 and has worked on a broad range of corporate, commercial, and dispute-related matters.
Before relocating to Canada, Maggie served as legal counsel to numerous businesses and provided ongoing legal advisory services to companies across various industries. Her experience includes contract matters, corporate governance, commercial transactions, business operations, risk management, and commercial dispute resolution.
In addition to private practice, Maggie previously served as a university law lecturer in China, where she taught International Law, International Economic Law, Civil Law, and related legal subjects.
Maggie holds a PhD in Law and a Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of British Columbia, a Master of International Business from the University of Melbourne, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Wuhan University, a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Bachelor of Finance from Zhongnan University of Economics and Law.
Maggie’s current work focuses on corporate, commercial, trust-related, and dispute-related matters. She assists with legal research, document preparation, client communications, and the review of business and litigation materials. With her background in law, business, and international commerce, Maggie brings a thoughtful and practical perspective to her work and is committed to supporting clients with careful, responsive, and commercially minded legal service.
Maggie is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese.
